Temporary Change to Recording Process
Effective Immediately – the Kankakee County Recorder’s Office will have limited office access until December 15, 2021.
Temporary hours will be every business day 9:00 am to 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Any person bringing in documents after 4:00 pm will have their documents recorded on the next business day.
The decision to change office hours and process stems from a positive COVID case within the office. The Recorder’s Office is working with limited staff however we have taken every necessary protocol to ensure a safe experience while doing business in this office.
Lori Gadbois, Kankakee County Recorder has issued this statement, “ We hope the businesses and individuals who use this office will be patient as we work through the next few weeks and are back to a full staffing level.” If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 815-937-2980.
